Instructed Eucharist

Here are my notes from the Instructed Eucharist we did at St. George’s, March 6, 2011 – which went over very well.  I wish I could claim that I could access all of this knowledge immediately within my own mind, but I cannot.  Therefore, I am primarily indebted to the works of Marion Hatchett and Lee Mitchell for all that I learned in preparing this Instructed Eucharist.  I am also indebted to all the churches I have visited and/or served in the past who have provided powerful and varied experiences of the Eucharist and to the clergy and laity of those parishes who have gone to lengths to explain the meaning behind the symbol.

    I didn’t know that.

Thank you for sharing this. I am preparing an instructed Eucharist for our church in South Africa, and this is most helpful.
